Dr. Amir Abidov is a distinguished leader in advanced materials science and engineering, holding a doctorate from Kumoh National Institute of Technology in South Korea. Currently, he serves as the deputy chairman of the board on innovation and technological development at Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex JSC. In this capacity, Dr. Abidov oversees strategic development, drives innovation initiatives, and leads the organization’s digital transformation, including the integration of artificial intelligence technologies.

His extensive experience includes previous leadership roles as director of the innovation center at Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex JSC and head of the Uzbekistan-Korea Center for Rare Metals. Dr. Abidov is responsible for managing the Innovation Projects Management Unit, the Scientific and Technological Center for Rare Metals and Hard Alloys, and the Academic Development Department. His work encompasses R&D, project management, quality assurance, cost efficiency, human capital development, and environmental sustainability, while ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering international cooperation.
